Short StoryIt was the day of homecoming. All the students were standing on the bleachers in the gym. Their screams were drowned out by the band playing the school’s fight song. On the gym floor, the cheerleaders were pumping everyone up with the cheers. The students were separated into different classes ─ freshmen, sophomores, juniors, seniors. Each class was trying to out-stomp and out-scream the other three. Elizabeth was sitting in the senior section, near the top of the bleachers. Best Christmas EverEveryone over the age of seven knows that Santa isn’t real. It’s silly to even think about. However, it’s a nice thought. Someone who brings gifts to children and adults alike; most of whom probably couldn’t afford it. How do we really know if Ol’ Saint Nick isn’t real? He could be watching right now. Teens and adults don’t believe in him because our parents tell he’s not real and then we go to school and get laughed at and made fun of if we say anything about it.
